Leaders of the companies 'Polish Nuclear Power Plants', Westinghouse, and Bechtel signed a new agreement for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland. During the signing ceremony held in Warsaw, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and US Energy Secretary Chris Wright were present, as reported by Ukrinform. In his statement at the press conference, Tusk emphasized that cooperation with the new American administration on nuclear energy has received a new impetus. As a result, a new and, according to him, better agreement on the construction of the nuclear power plant in Poland has been reached. The agreement includes changes in 16 areas, which contribute to greater predictability of this investment. Tusk stressed that Polish-American cooperation in the field of nuclear energy is developing better than ever before, and these parties will not rest on their laurels. For his part, Wright stated that the USA is building a long-term partnership with Warsaw based on cooperation and investments aimed at meeting needs for many years to come. He also emphasized that the fact that the first nuclear power plant is being built using new technologies specifically in Poland is a result of cooperation between the nations and governments. Wright noted that this project will create tens of thousands of jobs both in Poland and in the USA. He also mentioned that the implementation of the project will contribute to the development of long-term cooperation in this area. Wright also confirmed that the USA plans to build even more nuclear power plants not only in Poland but also in other European countries.
