ATACMS or Taurus will not help: Ben Hodges explains how Ukrainians can destroy the Crimean Bridge.

The strategic significance of the Crimean Bridge and possible destruction
Ben Hodges, an American military commander, emphasizes the importance of the Crimean Bridge and discusses possible scenarios for its destruction.
According to Hodges, a special operation is needed to destroy the bridge. Simple missile strikes will not be able to completely demolish such a large and sturdy bridge made of a substantial amount of steel and concrete. A comprehensive approach using various types of explosives is required.
Previous damage to the bridge
The Crimean Bridge has already suffered damage due to a truck explosion, a fire, and destabilization of the bridge spans as a result of a Sea Baby drone attack. This was confirmed by the head of the SBU in 2023.
The role of the bridge in the war
The expert believes that depriving Russia of logistical advantages on the Crimean Peninsula could be a turning point in the conflict.
Ukrainian special services and the return of the Crimean Bridge
Hodges emphasizes that Ukrainian forces have already inflicted significant damage on Russia's naval and air operations, neutralizing most of the large ferries used to supply military equipment. He also claims that Ukrainian special services are working on a strategy to completely render the bridge inoperable, which could be of great significance for the return of occupied territories.
Confrontation and attacks on Russia
Ukrainian operational intelligence groups burned a Russian fighter jet and three locomotives on Russian territory, as well as destroyed Russian helicopters and a barge with equipment in the Kerch Bay.
