Aviation disaster in California and drone attack on Kyiv: main news of the night.


The situation in eastern Ukraine remains complicated. Russian kamikaze drones of the 'Shahed' type attacked Ukraine overnight. Debris from these UAVs fell in two districts of Kyiv. In the Darnytskyi district, a private house caught fire, while there were no fires in the Holosiivskyi district.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine control almost the entire territory of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. The occupiers are attempting to cross the 'Seversky Donets - Donbas' canal in the eastern part of the city. The main directions of the enemy's offensive are Pokrovskyi, Kurakhivskyi, and Vremivskyi. In total, there were 118 combat engagements in the past day. Ukrainian defenders actively respond to combat challenges and deal significant blows to the enemy.
In Southern California, a light aircraft crashed into a building with medical supplies near the airport in Fullerton. As a result of the aviation disaster, the pilot and a passenger were killed, and 18 people were injured. A serious fire broke out in the building.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the situation in eastern Ukraine remains very complicated, but he will do everything possible to stabilize it. He believes that he will be able to stabilize the situation by January. Zelensky also emphasized the need for not only weapons for resilience at the front but also support from external contingents and weapons that are currently arriving in Ukraine.
