The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke at the Munich Security Conference 2025 and stated that the issue of Ukraine's NATO membership remains on the negotiation table. Zelensky emphasized that he does not believe in security guarantees without the involvement of the USA.
This will simply be weak. But America will not provide guarantees if its own European guarantees are not strong. And I will also not remove Ukraine's NATO membership from the negotiation table.
The President stressed that currently the most influential member of NATO is Vladimir Putin, as his whims have the power to block the Alliance's decisions. Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian army stopped Russia in this war, not NATO countries. However, Putin has lost many soldiers and has had many injured.
Earlier at the conference, Zelensky held talks with U.S. Vice President Pence.
