President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a prisoner exchange and a ban on missile strikes and bombings of civilian objects as a gesture of goodwill to achieve peace. However, Russia responded with massive shelling of Ukraine's rear regions. This was reported by Glavkom.
Sergiy, a senior sergeant of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, expressed his doubts about the possibility of a ceasefire. He believes that a large number of people on both sides of the conflict will not be able to lay down their arms. He also noted that expecting Russia to adhere to a ceasefire is necessary, especially in light of their violations of the silence regime in recent years.
Colonel Vladislav Seleznyov also supports the view that stopping hostilities along such a long front line is impossible. He emphasizes that the Russian side has repeatedly violated the silence regime and used it to improve its position in battle. This agreement has been proposed many times before but has not led to an end to Russia's aggression and the great war.
