Vitaliy Portnikov reported a possible assassination attempt on his life

Vitaliy Portnikov, a public figure and journalist, spoke about the threat to his life. He disclosed this information on his Facebook page. The reason was a widely circulated video from 2024, in which Portnikov comments on the situation of the children of politicians who are not on the military front.

The journalist noted that this video began to be used by 'Moscow and pro-Russian agencies' to criticize him. He emphasized that his words referred to the necessity of uniting all citizens during wartime in a democratic country. There is no place for aristocracy in Ukraine, so everyone must fulfill their civic duties. According to him, this persecution aims to divide society.

Portnikov also stated that Russia is preparing a platform to achieve victory over Ukraine, and such actions are a component of this strategy. He noted that even the threat to his life will not stop him in the fight for the truth.

In the same post, Portnikov also mentioned his quarrel with Serhiy Lyubarsky regarding the planned debates in Kharkiv. He also recalled the discussion with Russian publicist Yuliya Latynina on the 'Feigin Live' channel, where the journalist condemned the idea of a joint empire of Ukrainians and Russians, as well as the oppression of Ukrainians.
