Will Ukrainians of conscription age be expelled from the EU: explanation from the European Commissioner.

European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson stated that it is impossible to apply a differentiated approach to Ukrainian refugees in Europe based on gender, age, or conscription status. She reported that this contradicts the Temporary Protection Directive, which regulates the status of Ukrainian refugees in the EU.
Journalists asked Johansson if the European Union would help return conscription-age men to Ukraine. In response to this question, she stated that Europe will not expel anyone and will not forcibly send Ukrainians back to Ukraine. She promised to support those who want to return to their homeland and discuss this with the Ukrainian authorities. Johansson emphasized that the EU will not expel anyone from EU countries.
According to the UN, there are currently about 7 million Ukrainian migrants worldwide, with over 6 million in Europe. According to a UN survey, the majority of displaced persons are women (78%), and their average age is 46 years old.
Estimated payments for Ukrainian refugees in Poland
Poland has introduced new payments for Ukrainian refugees. Starting in October 2024, Ukrainian families with children who were forced to relocate to Poland after the start of the invasion will be entitled to additional financial support.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that he is looking for ways to return Ukrainian men who have completed military service back home.
Interestingly, Ukrainian refugees have started generating income for the Czech budget. In the first three months of this year, the contribution of Ukrainians to the Czech state treasury exceeded the aid paid out by 3 billion Czech crowns.
Most Ukrainian refugees in the United Kingdom have become victims of homelessness. They have faced problems in the procedure of obtaining protection and shortcomings in the provision of support by social services.
