Fuel prices in Ukraine continue to decline: gasoline has dropped to a minimum.

Retail fuel prices in Ukraine continue to decline
According to monitoring by the Consulting Group 'A-95', the average price of A-95 gasoline has decreased by 89 kopecks per liter, reaching a minimum for this year - 55.77 UAH per liter.
This price is even lower than in August 2024, excluding excise taxes, which increased the cost by 3 UAH per liter.
Diesel fuel has also dropped by 75 kopecks per liter (to 54.39 UAH per liter), while liquefied gas has decreased by 59 kopecks per liter (to 36.34 UAH per liter). The price of premium A-95+ has decreased by 1.20 UAH per liter, now standing at 59.25 UAH per liter.
The main factor driving down fuel prices has been the long-term decline in the foreign market, which began in February. During this period, gasoline in Europe fell by $95 per ton, and diesel by $85 per ton, which led to a change in prices at Ukrainian gas stations. In March, European gasoline quotes partially rose, but the price of diesel fuel remained at $73 per ton (equivalent to 3 UAH per liter).
The reduction in liquefied gas prices is associated with the need to maintain the ratio with gasoline prices, which currently stands at 65%. Furthermore, as temperatures rise, the density of gas decreases, affecting its cost.
Price reduction leaders
After the weekend, the state company 'Ukrnafta' further reduced gasoline and diesel prices by 30 kopecks per liter - to 53.49 UAH per liter and 52.49 UAH per liter respectively. Overall, since the beginning of last week, prices for fuel at the state company have decreased by 1.98 UAH per liter for gasoline and diesel, and by 1 UAH per liter for gas.
Among private networks, the largest price drop occurred in the Kryvyi Rih network RLS, where gasoline on average became cheaper by 3.20 UAH per liter (to 50.70 UAH per liter). Significant changes in prices also occurred in the 'Parallel' network, which reduced gasoline costs in the Zaporizhia and Kyiv regions by 3.50 UAH per liter (to 54.49 UAH per liter), and diesel by 4.50 UAH per liter (to 53.49 UAH per liter).
Premium networks OKKO and WOG have reduced prices for light oil products by 1 UAH per liter, and for gas by 50 kopecks per liter. Now the price of A-95 gasoline at their gas stations is 58.99 UAH per liter, diesel is 57.99 UAH per liter, and liquefied gas is around 38.48-38.49 UAH per liter.
Prospects for further reduction
Despite the significant reduction, analysts predict further decreases in retail prices. The gap between wholesale and retail prices, although it decreased last week by more than 90 kopecks per liter for gasoline and 55 kopecks per liter for diesel, still remains at nearly record high levels - 10.40 and 9.40 UAH per liter respectively.
'The coming weeks will again be eventful in the fuel market,' experts note.
Some networks practice local price reductions in certain regions. For example, in the 'BRSM' network at certain gas stations in Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, diesel prices were 48.49 UAH per liter, and gasoline was 50.48 UAH per liter.
The cheapest A-95 gasoline in Ukraine can be purchased at RLS gas stations for 50.70 UAH per liter, the most affordable diesel is offered by Marshal for 49.63 UAH per liter, and the lowest price for liquefied gas is found at the 'Kvorum' network for 33.98 UAH per liter.
