Readers of 'Hlavkom' helped a severely wounded soldier who fought in Kharkiv.

Readers of 'Hlavkom' raised funds for an electric wheelchair for the soldier, the hero of our interview Ivan Kashchenko, who fought in Kharkiv and sustained severe injuries. Ivan informed the editorial team about this.
It is worth mentioning that Ivan's sister reported on the fundraising, and within a day, the required amount was collected, and even more.
The soldier expressed his gratitude for the assistance and reached out to the people who responded to his plight.
I am grateful for the help in raising funds for the wheelchair. I would not have been able to purchase it on my own. After recovery and rehabilitation, I will pass the wheelchair on to someone who needs it,' Ivan promises.
The cost of the wheelchair was 52 thousand hryvnias. The remaining funds collected will be spent by the wounded soldier on his ongoing treatment.
Severe injuries of the soldier in Kharkiv
22-year-old soldier Ivan Kashchenko, nicknamed 'Koschey' from Sumy region, sustained severe injuries during the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv. The fighter was caught under enemy artillery fire, resulting in a traumatic amputation of his right arm, and he also suffered crushed bones in his leg. The warrior's body was damaged by shrapnel.
Kashchenko became the hero of the interview with 'Hlavkom', which was published at the end of October 2024 during the Kharkiv operation.
In Kharkiv, Ivan initially worked as a drone pilot, then he was transferred to artillery. During one of the battles, an enemy shell hit the position where the Ukrainian soldier was working.
Ivan is currently receiving treatment. Doctors have installed an Ilizarov apparatus on his leg. After treatment, the warrior will need long rehabilitation to return to walking. During rehabilitation, he will be using the electric wheelchair to facilitate his movement.
'Hlavkom' expresses deep gratitude to Ivan Kashchenko, who bravely defended Ukraine, as well as to every caring reader who responded to help the soldier.
