The government has approved changes to the Procedure for implementing the experimental project for automatic verification and checking of information about conscripts, military personnel, and reservists, which, among other things, relate to the rules for issuing passport documents. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.'From now on, men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad no longer need to physically present military registration documents to obtain a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a passport for traveling abroad,' the message says.It is noted that employees of the foreign units of the 'Document' State Enterprise will check the military registration status in the register. If the data is missing, it will be entered automatically, and accordingly, men will be registered with the formation of a military registration document in electronic form.'And what is important: without undergoing a medical commission. After that, the Ukrainian will receive the ordered document within the specified Time,' Klymenko emphasized.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained what this means in practice:
- It has become easier to issue or replace a passport abroad - there is no longer a need to submit a paper or electronic military registration document.
- Representatives of the foreign units of the 'Document' will automatically check the military registration status when issuing a passport.
- Men who have not yet registered will be automatically added, and, importantly, without undergoing a medical commission.
