Putin cannot prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and the EU

After 20 years of ruling in Russia, Vladimir Putin is still trying to bring Russia back to the world stage, but Ukraine continues its path towards NATO and the EU. This information is reported by Bloomberg.

According to Bloomberg, Putin has been complaining about the loss of Moscow's influence since the collapse of the Soviet Union since 2007. Putin's primary goal is to create a new sphere of influence where Russia would be the main player.

Russia has created its own analogues of NATO and the EU, such as the CSTO and the Eurasian Economic Union, but without Ukraine, these organizations have limited potential.

Ukraine began seeking a path to NATO in the 2000s and excluded neutrality from its constitution in 2010. However, this position was changed after Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014.

In 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted an application for NATO and EU membership, which puzzled the Kremlin.

Let us remind you that Russia plans to completely destroy Ukraine, and Putin's plans for the goals of the war remain unchanged. Moscow will spread the 'Russian world' as far as possible.

Vladislav Surkov, former assistant to the President of Russia, stated that the Russian Federation aims for victory in Ukraine. The goal of Russia is the political or military defeat of Ukraine and its fragmentation into separate parts.

Despite this, Ukraine continues to move towards its strategic goals, while Russia adapts its tactical objectives based on the situation.
