Partial power outages in four regions

As a result of heavy rain and gusty winds, 18 settlements in the Zakarpattia, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions have been completely or partially disconnected from power supply. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing 'Ukrenergo'.

Repair crews from the energy companies are already working to restore power supply to all consumers as quickly as possible.

Decrease in electricity consumption

Meanwhile, energy suppliers recorded a 6.4% decrease in electricity consumption compared to the previous day. This is due to good weather conditions across Ukraine, which facilitates the efficient operation of solar power plants.

Weather forecast for today

Today, March 14, cloudy weather with clearings is expected in Ukraine. No precipitation, only in the western regions light, locally moderate rain may occur during the day. The temperature at night will be 5-10° warm, and during the day 13-18°. In the south and east of the country, the temperature at night will be 8-13°, and during the day 17-22° warm.

Strong winds in the Carpathians and northern part

Most often, the wind will be south-western at a speed of 7-12 m/s. At night in Ukraine, except for the southern and eastern regions, and during the day in the Carpathians and northern part, gusts of 15-20 m/s will be present.

Earlier, part of the Kherson community was left without electricity after massive shelling by Russia.

Over the past day, energy workers from DTEK managed to restore power supply to nearly 9 thousand families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The Australian government has provided the Ukrainian government with an additional 6 million euros for the Energy Support Fund.
