The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported the bodies of how many men were found in the Tisza River since February 2022.

The number of victims at the border has increased due to the Tisza River
During the period of martial law near the Tisza River, about 50 people died while attempting to illegally cross the border. This was reported by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGSU).
There are desperate individuals who choose the most dangerous locations along the border that pass through rivers in order to swim across them. In particular, the Tisza River has claimed the lives of approximately 50 people who illegally attempted to cross the border in this area.
Demchenko noted that border guards notice attempts at illegal border crossing every day, but with the onset of cold weather, these attempts have decreased.
Current weather conditions hinder this activity, as the drop in temperature and the presence of snow make it difficult to reach the border line easily. Border guards often find people suffering from hypothermia who risk their lives trying to illegally cross the border.
It is reminded that on December 17, a man's body was found in the Tisza River. It is assumed that he became a victim of organizers of illegal border crossings who use conscripted individuals.
Additionally, a Ukrainian was rescued in Romania after falling into a mountain gorge. It turned out that a kitten named Persik was in his jacket.
Moreover, the counterintelligence of the Security Service detained a resident of the Zhytomyr region who collaborated with Russian special services and was an administrator of a Telegram channel. He was arrested while trying to swim across the Dnieper River at the border with Belarus to reach the Russian Federation.
Also, border guards of the Volyn detachment stopped an attempt to illegally cross the border through the 'Yahodin' checkpoint. Two men were detained while trying to enter Poland.
