Beware of Suspicious Calls: Ukrainians Warned about a New Fraud Scheme.

Ukrainians have been warned about a new fraud scheme - calls from suspicious numbers.
According to the Ministry of Justice, in today's world of mobile communication, the problem of receiving phone calls from unknown numbers is spreading. Calls from fake bank employees are especially dangerous, as they use various manipulative techniques to deceive people.
A new fraudulent scheme is spreading in our country. Scammers, posing as bank employees, ask people to install an updated mobile application, claiming that the previous version is outdated or has serious issues.
If a person agrees, the scammers send a link through messengers that they claim leads to the bank's official chatbot. In reality, these are phishing resources, designed to gain access to the user's online banking. If a person follows such a link, scammers can easily obtain the bank client's authorization data.
Then the scammers use psychological manipulation, convincing people to provide a code received in an SMS message or call from the bank's legitimate support service. This way, the attackers gain access to online banking and steal money from the account.
The Ministry of Justice recommends a simple but effective rule to protect against phone scammers: if someone calls you claiming to be a bank employee, do not engage in a long conversation. Say that you will call back yourself, but only to the official bank number listed on your bank card.
