"Energatom" may not find funds for the construction of new reactors due to corruption – Media.

According to the Financial Times, it will be very difficult for "Energatom" to attract billions of dollars for the construction of new nuclear reactors due to corruption scandals.
Ukraine has three operational nuclear power plants, which produce almost half of the country's electricity. Two reactors will need to be replaced within 10 years.
In January, the CEO of "Energatom" Oleksandr Galushchenko announced the construction of four new reactors. However, it is unlikely that the company, which has been involved in corruption scandals, will succeed in obtaining the necessary billions of dollars for this project.
The plan to purchase old Russian technologies in Bulgaria for $600 million was halted after protests by deputies.
The only Ukrainian energy company that has managed to attract significant international investments is the state operator "Ukrenergo." However, after disputes and the dismissal of its head Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, further investments have been put into question.
Kudrytskyi stated that the loan scheme for small power plant investors, introduced in July, will lead to the emergence of dozens of new players in the market and create competition for "Energatom," which the Ministry of Energy tried to postpone.
