The ambassadors of the European Union approved the 18th package of sanctions against Russia
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak reported what is included in the new package of EU sanctions against the RF. He announced this on Telegram.
What is included in the 18th package of sanctions against the RF
At the level of EU ambassadors, the 18th package of sanctions against the RF has been approved. The new restrictions imposed by the EU against the aggressor country will include:
- Ban on any transactions related to Nord Stream 1 and 2;
- Price cap on oil from the RF;
- 105 vessels of the Russian 'tanker fleet' will be under sanctions;
- Total ban on the import of petroleum products from Russian oil;
- Sanctions against the Russian Direct Investment Fund;
- Full ban on SWIFT for 22 Russian banks;
- Ban on transactions by financial operators that help the RF evade sanctions;
- Export restrictions worth over 2.5 billion euros;
- 22 companies supporting the Russian military-industrial complex are subject to sanctions;
- Sanctions against those involved in 'ideological processing of Ukrainian children in the RF'.
Yermak emphasized that Ukrainian proposals were taken into account in the new package of EU sanctions against the RF.
The ambassadors of the European Union adopted the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, including important restrictions on energy projects, financial sanctions, and restrictions for companies supporting the Russian military-industrial complex.
