It is worth noting that Shaman supports Russian aggression and is on the sanction lists of Ukraine, Canada, and the EU.
Achievements of the figure skaters
Bukin and Stepanova are vice-champions of Europe, medalists at European and World Championships among juniors, as well as winners of the junior Grand Prix final. They are also known for their successes at the Russian championships.
It should be noted that the IOC has called for Russian athletes to be allowed to qualify for the 2026 Olympics.
According to information, the International Olympic Committee is closely cooperating with organizations IBU and FIS to ensure the participation of neutral athletes in the Winter Olympic Games.
The 2026 Olympic Games will take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy).
It is also worth mentioning that Russian Olympic champion Nikita Nagornyy and chess player Sergey Karyakin are on the EU sanctions list as well.
Sergey Karyakin is a senator of the Federation Council of Russia and supports the annexation of Crimea and Russia's war against Ukraine. Nagornyy was involved in the abduction and relocation of Ukrainian children from occupied territories.
