The General Staff confirmed the strike on four military airfields in Russia.


Ukrainian units attacked Russian airfields
On the night of August 14, Defense Forces and GUR units attacked four airfields in the Voronezh, Kursk, and Nizhny Novgorod regions of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, the military airfields 'Khalino', 'Savasleyka', 'Borisoglebsk', and 'Baltimore' were hit.
Army aviation, Su-34 fighter-bombers, Su-35 fighters, and other enemy military aviation equipment are based at these airfields
According to the military, the main targets were fuel and lubricant warehouses and aviation weapons. The results of the attack are being clarified.
The operations were carried out by units of the Air Force and Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The largest attack on Russian airfields during the entire war
The Security Service, Armed Forces, and Intelligence carried out the largest attack on Russian military airfields during the entire war. It is noted that the strike was carried out using long-range drones.
Recall that on the night of August 14, the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation came under drone attack. Residents heard the sounds of UAV flights and reported the alleged operation of air defense.
Also, on August 14, explosions were heard in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia, where the 'Savasleyka' military airfield is located, from which MiG-31K fighters, capable of carrying 'Kinzhal' missiles, take off.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukraine launched more than a hundred drones at military targets in the territory of the Russian Federation. According to the defense department, allegedly all 117 UAVs were shot down.
