The Head of the Ministry of Energy spoke about when Ukraine will cease electricity exports.

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko reported that the export of excess electricity is only possible in the absence of deficits and any restrictions in Ukraine. If there is a 1 kW deficit, there will be no electricity exports from Ukraine. He explained that exports are possible during periods of surplus, which usually occur during hours of minimal consumption, while during peak consumption hours, Ukraine imports additional electricity from EU countries.
Currently, the total capacity of gas power plants in Ukraine is 967 MW, of which 835 MW is already in operation. Ukraine also receives electricity from Poland due to the redistribution of capacity between EU countries.
The disconnection of heating and hot water in the Russian-occupied region of Moldova has led to a shortage of electricity, which Ukraine has addressed through electricity exports. Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated over 10 billion UAH to strengthen the energy system's protection against shelling.
