The Minister of Internal Affairs reacted to the murder of activist Hanula in Odesa.


The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, has restructured the investigation into the murder of Dmytro Hanula. This was reported by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, as informed by 'Glavkom'.
During a meeting in the Verkhovna Rada, the minister announced that the Central Office of the National Police has created a special investigative group composed of the best police officers. This group has gone to Odesa for further investigation.
Head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi, also traveled to Odesa to personally oversee the investigation.
It should be noted that today at 10:30, an unknown person shot a resident of the Prymorskyi district of Odesa. The victim turned out to be activist Dmytro Hanula, and the killer managed to flee the scene of the crime.
Dmytro Hanula was a well-known Odesa civic activist and volunteer who stood out for his patriotic activities and support for the Ukrainian military. He actively assisted the Armed Forces of Ukraine, engaging in volunteer work, including supplying resources for the military.
The activist was attacked multiple times. In May 2023, Hanula was assaulted in Odesa. According to him, three men in military uniform invited him to a meeting regarding volunteer assistance, but even during the meeting, he was attacked. Hanula managed to escape and call the police.
The activist appealed to the Security Service of Ukraine for protection due to threats and the spread of personal information online.
