Goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen sustained an injury and underwent surgery
Jasper Cillessen, goalkeeper of the Spanish club 'Las Palmas', was forced to undergo surgery after an injury sustained in a La Liga match against 'Celta'. This was reported by 'Gavcom'.
The player was injured and was substituted already in the 27th minute of the game after a collision with opposing player Borja Iglesias.
The press service of 'Las Palmas' reported that Cillessen underwent surgery to remove a perforation in the small intestine. It is noted that the surgery was successful.
Cillessen has been guarding the goal for 'Las Palmas' since 2024. Previously, he played for clubs such as 'Valencia', 'Barcelona', 'Ajax', and NEC Nijmegen.
