Zelensky Participated in the G7 Meeting
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, participated in the traditional meeting of G7 leaders, which took place on February 24, 2025, in an online format chaired by Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who joined the meeting from Kyiv.
Conversation with Trump
Among the participants of the meeting was also the President of the United States, Donald Trump. During a press conference with foreign leaders, Zelensky reported on his communication with the American president: 'We just had a conversation. It was a very good conversation within the G7 meeting chaired by Canada.'
Hopes for Support
The Ukrainian leader expressed hopes for continued support for Ukraine from the United States: 'We are hoping very much that the United States will continue support like other partners.' He also emphasized the importance of maintaining unity between Europe and the U.S.

Regarding the meeting, Zelensky additionally wrote on social media, noting its productivity and the importance of hearing principled words from most partners. 'Of course, we all strive for peace and aim to make peace as reliable and sustainable as possible. Today we talked about the need for security guarantees for Ukraine and real ways to ensure the cessation of this Russian aggression and prevent any new one,' noted the President of Ukraine.
