Investment Projects: Ukraine and the EIB Signed an Agreement Under the JASPERS Program.

The Government of Ukraine and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have signed an agreement to attract experts within the framework of the JASPERS program to accelerate the implementation of state investment projects.
The agreement was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko and EIB Vice President Teresa Czerwinska, who is responsible for the Bank's operations in Ukraine. The presence of EIB President Nadia Calviño and European Commissioner for Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi at the signing of the agreement confirms its importance.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the EIB and Ukraine have signed an agreement to attract a team of experts to support the implementation of EIB investments for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility mechanism. The experts will help expedite the preparation and implementation of important projects, particularly in the fields of energy, transport, and social housing, as well as the reform of public investment management (PIM).
'Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has faced unprecedented challenges in restoring the economy, infrastructure, and energy sector. This reconstruction requires not only financial resources but also technical expertise, strategic planning, and quality project preparation. With the support of JASPERS, we gain access to world-class expertise that will contribute to the development of investment-attractive projects in key sectors of the economy. I sincerely thank the European Investment Bank, the European Commission, and the JASPERS team for their support,' said Yulia Svyrydenko.
JASPERS consultants will assist government institutions and communities in developing and implementing investment projects in accordance with EU standards. The JASPERS initiative, which helps countries develop quality investment projects, will be implemented in Ukraine. The program is funded by the EIB and the European Commission, which allocated 20 million euros for advisory support for Ukraine's economic development.
