Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the achievement of a ceasefire agreement with the 'Hezbollah' group in Lebanon. This is an important step in stopping the conflict in the region.
According to Politico, Netanyahu plans to present the ceasefire plan to the cabinet. The proposal is expected to be accepted.
The Israeli leader warned of the need to focus on Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the threat from Iran. The agreement, reached with the mediation of the United States and France, is considered a success for the White House. The details and duration of the ceasefire are not disclosed, and 'Hezbollah' has not commented on the situation.
Fighting between Israel and 'Hezbollah' began after Hamas attacks in early October 2023 and intensified in the fall of 2024. Israel conducted strikes against high-ranking Hezbollah officials and carried out limited ground operations in Lebanon to weaken the group and enhance deterrence against Iran, one of the main sponsors of 'Hezbollah'.
