Catastrophic Shortage: Expert Reveals the Scale of Staffing Crisis in Ukraine.

Ukraine is facing a serious staffing problem. By 2025, the country will lack more than half a million qualified workers. This was announced by the president of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine Oleksiy Miroshnychenko on the 'Kyiv 24' television channel.

The expert noted that the staff shortage is already significantly affecting wage growth. Currently, wages are increasing by 14%, while the GDP growth rate is only 4%. 'The reasons for the wage increase lie in the intensifying competition among businesses for qualified workers, as well as rising prices and inflation,' explains Miroshnychenko.

According to the expert, this disparity between wage growth and GDP poses a problem for the economy. 'Wages should grow faster than GDP and prices, but not in such proportion. This is an aspect that needs attention,' emphasized the president of the Confederation.

The problem is further complicated by the competition between the public and private sectors for staff. A separate issue is the employment of military personnel after their service – according to research, more than 60% of them plan to change professions or start their own businesses.

Miroshnychenko believes that key ways to solve this problem are professional orientation and retraining. He believes these tools will help military personnel adapt to new areas of activity.
