Former convict saved nine comrades and became a hero in his battalion.

Bohdan Hervasiuk, who previously served a term for a serious offense, became a warrior of the "Arey" battalion of the 129th Brigade of Territorial Defense after convicts began to be taken to the front. During a month of participating in combat actions in Russia, Bohdan, known as Alabai, showed heroism by rescuing nine wounded soldiers.
During the evacuation from the drone-attacked armored vehicle Kirpi, Alabai was concussed but got out of the vehicle and lost consciousness. After regaining consciousness, he helped his comrades by reaching the radio station and calling for help.
Transport managed to take seven wounded, and Alabai found a pickup and personally delivered two more wounded to the stabilization point. For his heroism, Hervasiuk may receive a state award.
Bohdan Hervasiuk explained that he ended up in prison due to a fight at a disco, after which one of the guys sustained fatal injuries. He had been serving the last seven months of his term when he decided to go to the front to protect his son, who lives in Nikopol and knows what shelling is like.
Bohdan Hervasiuk is ready to do everything to end the war as soon as possible.
