On the night of May 25, the city of Konotop experienced the most massive and combined strike in its history since World War II. This was reported by the city's mayor Artem Semenikhin, referring to data from 'Glavkom'.
According to the mayor, the attack led to the destruction of an already damaged infrastructure facility in one of the neighborhoods. Trees in the area were also affected, he noted.
It is noted that there were no recorded destructions in the residential sector of the city. Some streets were partially deprived of electricity, but this issue will be resolved within the coming hours.
Tragedy in the Kyiv region
It was noted that as a result of the enemy attack in the Kyiv region, three people died. Two were found during firefighting in the Obukhiv district, and the third person was killed in the Bucha district. This information was disclosed by the Kyiv regional military administration.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged city residents to stay in shelters due to explosions and the operation of air defense.
Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv city military administration, warned of the danger from enemy drones and missiles and urged people to take shelter.
Danger in Dnipro and Odesa
Explosions were also heard in Dnipro and Odesa. Local Telegram channels report on the operation of air defense and the overall alarm. The mayor of Odesa emphasized the need to stay safe.
