This information was provided by judicial registration. The incident occurred on January 8, 2024, in the 'Sytий Kovboj' cafe-motel in Khmelnytskyi. The soldier decided to steal a Samsung TV from his room. He took it off the wall, hid it in a bag, and discreetly carried it out behind the fence.Material analysisAccording to Opendatabot, the number of smartphone thefts and losses in Ukraine is constantly decreasing. This is a positive trend, as stolen or lost phones can lead to financial losses and privacy issues. The most popular brands among thieves are Xiaomi, Samsung, and iPhone, which account for a significant share of lost devices. This may be due to the high cost and popularity of these brands. It is also worth noting the regional differences in thefts and losses of phones. Kyiv leads in this indicator, which may be related to the large population and the city's popularity among criminals. Kherson region has the least number of thefts, indicating greater safety in this area. The detention and charge of a Kyiv resident who stole a thermal imager from a soldier demonstrates police work in solving crimes. How difficult it is for store employees to notice that a phone was stolen still remains a question.
