The National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine (NADC) has approved sanctions against the fast-walking white ball Michail Havryliuk. This is stated on the official website of the organization.

Ukrainian fast-walking white ball Michail Havryliuk has received a two-year suspension from official competitions for violating anti-doping rules.

Havryliuk was disqualified for violating Article 2.4 of the Anti-Doping Rules of the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine.

The document states that a suspension will be imposed on an athlete who misses three tests in any combination and/or does not provide information about their whereabouts over a 12-month period.

The disqualification took effect on December 27, 2024, and will end on December 26, 2026.

The last competition in which Havryliuk participated was the team championship of Ukraine, which took place in May 2024 in Lutsk. Michail then showed the best result of the season - the ball's speed was 72.89 meters, and he took second place.

Who is Mikhail Havryliuk

Mikhail Havryliuk is a 26-year-old Ukrainian athlete. He is the European champion in hammer throw among juniors (2016), as well as the bronze medalist of the Youth Athletics Euro-2019 in hammer throw. It should be noted that former Ukrainian taekwondoist Yulia Volkova, who currently holds a Russian passport, was disqualified for violating anti-doping rules.

The decision on the disqualification was made based on the review of data from the Moscow anti-doping laboratory database (LIMS).

It was reported that in November 2014, a prohibited substance – furosemide – was found in Volkova's sample.

The term of the athlete's suspension is from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2026.

45-year-old Volkova is a bronze medalist of the European Championship (2010) as part of the Ukrainian national team, and a seven-time champion of Ukraine (2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013).

On October 29, 2015, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin granted Volkova the citizenship of the Russian Federation by his decree.
