Elimination of the Champion Occupant: International Paralympic Committee Reacts.


The International Paralympic Committee reacted to the information about the death of Russian occupant Alexander Rabotnitsky, who was a Paralympic medalist and world champion. This was reported by 'Glavcom'.
Inquiries regarding the information about Rabotnitsky's death, who was a volunteer and participated in hostilities on the side of Russia, were directed by 'Glavcom' to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
The IPC does not comment on this story. - replied 'Glavcom' by the IPC's Director of Public Relations Craig Spence.
It should be reminded that friends and colleagues of the eliminated Russian occupant Alexander Rabotnitsky, who was a medalist at the Paralympic Games, were shocked to learn that the Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract with a person diagnosed with 'organic brain damage'.
31-year-old Rabotnitsky served as a platoon commander in the reconnaissance company. No information about the circumstances of the occupant's death has been provided to his relatives and friends.
I found out only after the fact that Sasha was taken to war. With his diagnosis – well, where? I believe Sasha did not go there [to war] from a good life, he couldn’t adapt to ordinary life. There were issues with the apartment, with housing. - said one of the athletes who trained with Rabotnitsky.
Close ones say that after he ended his professional career about a year ago, he developed a gaming addiction.
The brother raised the alarm, colleagues tried to help, but in the end, he amassed a lot of debts and for some reason saw only one way out – to the trenches. At first, sport saved him, but there was no place for him in peaceful life. - said one of Rabotnitsky's close friends.
31-year-old occupant Rabotnitsky was eliminated on March 23. Russian resources note that he 'chose to volunteer and join the ranks of the SVO (as Russian propaganda calls the war against Ukraine - 'Glavcom'), defending his Motherland'.
On September 3, 2021, Alexander Rabotnitsky finished second in the Tokyo Paralympics in the 1500-meter race in the T20 category.
Alexander Rabotnitsky is a Honored Master of Sports of Russia in athletics among athletes with intellectual disabilities, a silver medalist at the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics, a three-Time champion, silver and bronze medalist at world championships, champion and silver medalist at European championships, three-time European indoor champion, and multiple champion of Russia.
Rabotnitsky is the most decorated occupant eliminated by Ukrainian defenders.
