NATO will increase the defense amount after negotiations with Trump - Mitsotakis
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has announced that NATO will increase the defense budget next year after negotiations with newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. According to Mitsotakis, NATO member countries realize the need for higher defense spending.
'When we communicate with the new president (USA), it will be clear what figure we agree upon within NATO,' noted Mitsotakis.
The Prime Minister refused to specify a particular amount, stating it will be more than 2%, but the exact figure has yet to be determined.
