Mom, forgiveness for everything. New details of the fire in the Turkish hotel where 78 people were burnt alive.

At the Kartalkaya ski resort in Turkey, it was decided to demolish the Grand Kartal hotel. The decision was made after an inspection by experts from the Ministry of Environment, Urban Development and Climate Change.
On the night of January 21, a major fire broke out in the hotel. At that Time, there were 238 guests in the hotel, of which 78 died. Among the deceased were the dean of a business school with his daughter, a swimmer with his mother, managers of an energy company with their sons, an orthodontist with his family, cooks, and others. Also, during the fire, 14 members of one family died, including Turkish Airlines employee Zehra Sena Gültekin.
“Along with her, during the fire, her husband, three children, and nine other relatives died. Gültekin is the daughter of former Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy Mehmet Güner. During the fire, she called her mother and apologized for everything,” the statement said.
The fire broke out in the hotel's restaurant around 03:27 AM. The flames quickly engulfed the building as the hotel's exterior was made of wood, which contributed to the spread of the fire. Some guests survived by jumping out of windows and climbing down with sheets. During the investigation, nine people were detained for possible involvement in the tragedy.
Many of the deceased were on vacation with their families, and some were regular visitors to the hotel. A national mourning was declared in Turkey.
