The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved the new unmanned transporter BoarTAC for use. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
During the design of the transporter, the requirements of the domestic defenders, formulated based on their combat experience, were taken into account. The complex is low-profile, quiet, and inconspicuous, and also has bullet and shrapnel protection.
«In addition, the transporter is easy to operate and can be easily repaired even in the field. It has high cross-country ability and traction force. The operator can remotely control the transporter and use it to deliver ammunition and provisions», - the report says.
The functional platform with mounts can also be used for the evacuation of wounded and demining. The transporter can become a mobile fire means thanks to the integration of combat modules with grenade launchers and machine guns.
«Moreover, the transporter can be used as a kamikaze drone. It can overcome off-road terrains, ditches, and shallow water obstacles thanks to its wide tracks with large soil grips and protective bumper. The transporter can carry up to 200 kg of cargo or tow a trailer weighing about 200 kg», - the report says.
In August, Ukraine will receive a new batch of military aid from Lithuania, which will include air defense systems, armored vehicles, and anti-drone measures. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.
In addition, Ukraine received six F-16 fighters from the Netherlands, according to reports from The Times citing an anonymous source.
