Ministry of Defense initiates inspection of institutions conducting military medical commissions.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is starting an inspection of institutions conducting military medical commissions using special inspection mechanisms. This was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Dmytro Lazutkin, during a telethon.
“Clearly, some things require verification. Such inspections are meant to ensure the proper implementation of mobilization rules and medical standards as such, to ensure that violations do not occur as a phenomenon,” said Lazutkin.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, the department is very sensitive to this issue. In addition, Lazutkin explained that the responsibility for violations in the mobilization process is distributed depending on the stage at which the violation occurred.
“If a violation occurred at the stage of medical examination, the responsibility lies with the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service of Ukraine within the framework of the concluded contracts. If the conclusion of the military medical commission regarding the suitability for service is incorrectly issued, for example, this is the responsibility of the military medical commission, and the response should already be carried out by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” he said.
Recall that military liable citizens who previously had the status of “limited fit” must undergo a military medical commission again. This must be done by February 5, 2025.
Previously, “Glavkom” collected a complete list of diseases that are grounds for the military medical commission's decision on unfitness for military service and exclusion from military records.
By the way, the rules for passing the military medical commission have changed in Ukraine.
