Dream of the 'Mriya' — the commander of the famous aircraft on its revival.


In the city of Munich (Germany), an aviation exhibition is taking place, where Ukraine is represented. The exhibition is called 'Light and Shadow: Antonov Story' and tells the story of the 'Mriya' aircraft and its tragic demise during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The commander of the AN-225 'Mriya' and AN-124 'Ruslan' aircraft, Dmytro Antonov, shared his memories and hope for revival in the program Day.LIVE. He spoke about the moments of flying the aircraft and the peculiarities of flights, particularly on Independence Day in Kyiv in the year 21.
According to Dmytro Antonov: 'And the best moments were when we flew in Kyiv during the preparations and celebrations of Independence Day in the year 21. These are just unforgettable moments, as the people of Kyiv and all Ukrainians welcomed our aircraft.'
Dmytro Antonov confidently states that the 'Mriya' can be restored, calling on everyone to dream and put in the effort. He is convinced that the Ukrainian aviation industry and the 'Mriya' aircraft can come back to life.
