Religious groups in the world: Christians and Muslims
The Pew Research Center analyzed data on the growth of religious groups worldwide from 2010 to 2020. It turned out that Christians and Muslims remain the main groups. In particular, the number of Muslims increased by 347 million people, totaling over two billion.
The number of Christians increased by 122 million, accounting for a total of 2.3 billion people.
Other religious groups and their followers
After Muslims, Hinduism ranks third in the number of followers (1.2 billion), followed by Buddhists (0.3 billion). In addition, there are approximately 1.9 billion followers of other religions and 0.1 billion Jews.
The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Moshe Asman, urged Jews who survived the Holocaust to support the Ukrainian people in their current trials and emphasized the shared fates of Ukrainians and Jews.
The research revealed that Christians and Muslims are the most populous religious groups in the world, but it is also important to consider the diversity of other denominations and their followers.
The analysis conducted by the Pew Research Center showed an increase in the number of both Christians and Muslims in the world over the past decade. Furthermore, the study highlighted the importance of the diversity of religious groups and emphasized the common path of believers from different denominations.Read also
