The amber portrait of Medvedchuk sold at auction.


ARMA sold paintings of Medvedchuk
The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) sold 70 paintings from the collection of former People's Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, who is accused of treason. Among the paintings was the amber portrait of Medvedchuk. The sale of this portrait fetched 6009 UAH, the starting price was 5225 UAH. This painting is one of the cheapest in the former deputy's collection.
The funds received from the sale of the paintings will go to support the economy of Ukraine and the defense capability of the state.
ARMA does not disclose what the new owner will do with the amber portrait. However, the advisor to the head of ARMA, Andriy Poznyak, posted a satirical photo captioned with the words: 'I already have one idea.'
Earlier, ARMA sold eight watches from Medvedchuk's collection for a total of nearly 3.6 million UAH. The most expensive watch of the Patek Philippe brand was sold for 1.27 million UAH.
