Cuba is running low on gasoline and diesel: the known reason.

Cuba suffers from acute fuel shortages
Most gas stations in Cuba are closed due to lack of fuel, and at those that are operating, long lines are forming. The reason for this is a series of large-scale power outages that have caused a crisis in the country.
“We waited for the fuel truck for three days. People slept here in line to not lose their place,” says a driver in the line in the capital of Cuba, Armando Corralés.
According to the government, a small amount of fuel arrived in Havana from December 11. The situation was worsened by nationwide power outages, which led to the temporary closure of schools and businesses.
The main supplier of oil to Cuba is Venezuela, but they have reduced deliveries by 44%. Although Mexico has partially compensated for this difference, the main product sent to Cuba is crude oil, which Cuban refineries process into gasoline and diesel fuel.
The Cuban government has tried to gather foreign currency by selling fuel for dollars, but this has not helped stabilize the situation.
“Now the lines stretch for several miles, even if you buy fuel for dollars,” said driver Jorge Figueredo.
This crisis occurred after Cuba's national power grid was turned off due to a power plant failure. Many millions of Cubans were left without electricity.
It is worth noting that Cubans are going to war against Ukraine due to generous payments and Russian passports.
The Cuban authorities also reported the exposure of a criminal human trafficking network that forced Cubans to fight alongside Russia in Ukraine.
