The gas supply company Naftogaz of Ukraine reminded Ukrainians about the rules for using gas cylinders.
This was reported by the company's press service on Facebook.
Gas cylinders are useful appliances in households, often used for cooking and heating. However, they require special attention and caution as they can be dangerous. Therefore, anyone who uses gas cylinders must know and adhere to safety rules to protect themselves and those around them.
Gas cylinders are widely used at home - from cooking to heating. However, improper handling can lead to serious consequences. Let's look at the main safety rules that are critically important to follow.
Main rules for using gas cylinders:
- Proper storage. The cylinder should be stored upright with the valve on top. The storage area should be dry, well-ventilated, and away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Leak check. Before use, check for any damage and ensure the hoses and connections are airtight. If there is a leak, stop using it immediately.
- Connection. Connect gas cylinders only to special gas appliances using recommended regulators and hoses.
- Safe usage. Never leave the cylinder unattended, especially if it is connected to a gas stove or other appliance. In the event of a malfunction, close the valve immediately.
- Transportation. Transport the cylinder only in an upright position, avoiding overloads and mechanical damage.
- Check the expiration date. Periodically ensure that the cylinder is not out of service by checking the next technical inspection date.
'Following the rules is the key to your safety!' - representatives of Naftogaz of Ukraine reported.
