Not Behind Partners: Zelensky Outlined a Key Component of Negotiations for Peace.


The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of involving all strategic partners in negotiations for ending the war. He stated this during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.
Zelensky stressed that for Ukraine, the region, and Europe, it is crucial that any negotiations regarding the end of the war involve key stakeholders affected by the consequences of Russian aggression. He highlighted the necessity of involving Ukraine, the European Union, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States in the development of security guarantees, as this concerns the future of the entire region.
The President also noted that achieving reliable and lasting peace is only possible under the condition of fair negotiations and participation from all parties. He expressed gratitude to Erdoğan for understanding this position.
Earlier, the President of Turkey also stated his support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and offered his country as a platform for peaceful negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States. Turkey also confirmed its intention to develop economic cooperation with Ukraine with the aim of reaching a bilateral trade volume of 10 billion dollars.
