The Ministry of Energy plans to increase the cost of electricity for households to 6.68 UAH per kWh, which exceeds the current tariff by more than 50%.
According to Oleg Popienko, Ukrainian citizens pay 4.32 UAH per kWh, which corresponds to the level in other European countries. However, the purchasing power of the population in Ukraine is significantly lower compared to Europe.
From January 1, 2025, an increase in electricity transmission prices is also expected, which will lead to a rise in prices for all goods and services.
In addition, there is a possibility of gas price increases as early as 2025.
