The new Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the situation at the front for the first time.

The Ukrainian army is engaged in heavy fighting along the entire front line. The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Andriy Hnatov, reported that the enemy is using all its weapons and human reserves to break through the Ukrainian defense. The situation is difficult in various directions, with particularly challenging situations arising in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Kupiansk, and Vovchansk.
Hnatov emphasized that the situation can change quickly depending on the movement of the enemy and the availability of reserves to contain their offensive actions. He also noted that the battles on the front are dynamic, especially skirmishes, and that up to 50 encounters can occur simultaneously. However, currently, there are no situations where large units are surrounded.
The General warned that some speculative views on the situation can create a threat. For example, when the enemy appears on the flank, some may start proclaiming that the situation is already encircled. Hnatov stressed that such a situation is threatening, but it is not a classic encirclement.
