Officer, lecturer at the National Academy of Land Forces. Let us remember Oleksandr Fedoriv.


Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Oleksandr Fedoriv.
On November 10, 2024, the heart of officer and graduate of the Ternopil Lyceum, Oleksandr Fedoriv, stopped beating due to a serious illness. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Oleksandr Fedoriv was born on March 31, 1987, in the town of Zbarazh in the Ternopil region. He studied at the Zbarazh Lyceum No. 2 named after Ivan Franko of the Zbarazh City Council in the Ternopil region. Later, he entered the municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council 'Lviv Lyceum with Enhanced Military and Physical Training named after the Heroes of Kruty'. He received higher education first at the Military Academy in Odesa and then at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi.
In 2004, he took an oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine. Initially, he served as a platoon commander-instructor for driving (BMP) in Starichi, and later held the position of course officer.
From 2012 to 2014, he worked as an officer in the personnel unit at the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi.
From 2014 to 2016, he carried out combat missions in the area of the anti-terrorist operation as part of the 42nd battalion of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade named after the Cossack ataman Kostiantyn Hordiienko of the Southern Operational Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 2019, he returned to the academy and worked as a senior lecturer in the tactics department of the Faculty of Military Operations.
In his free Time, he enjoyed repairing cars and dreamed of opening his own service station. According to his relatives, he was an exceptionally fair, principled, and demanding person.
Oleksandr's heart stopped beating due to a serious illness. The officer and graduate of the Ternopil Lyceum passed away on November 10, 2024.
The funeral service for the soldier took place on November 12, 2024, at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. The defender was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in burial field No. 79.
Oleksandr Fedoriv is survived by his father, wife, eight-year-old daughter, and sister.

We remember those who lost their lives to the Russian invaders, lighting candles of remembrance and bowing our heads in mourning during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all soldiers, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against the Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
