Pentagon: Russia may launch a new 'Oreshnik' missile strike.

The launch of the Russian 'Oreshnik' missile could become a target for Ukraine, the Pentagon reported. According to spokeswoman Sabrina Singh, the launch may occur in the coming days. However, she noted that this does not significantly impact the combat situation and is merely an attempt to cause harm to Ukraine.
Singh also emphasized that the USA and its allies continue to support Ukraine and provide it with air defense capabilities.
The 'Oreshnik' missile had already been used by Russia in the shelling of Dnipro on November 28. This missile is a modified version of the Russian intercontinental ballistic missile RS-26 'Rubezh'. Western capitals regard this launch as a strategic signal to the West, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes this is another attempt by Putin to hinder Trump in resolving the Russian-Ukrainian war.
