Two defenders of the Ukrainian national team, Yukhym Konoplia and Oleksiy Sych, are leaving the team. This was reported by UA-Football.

Today in the afternoon they left the national team hotel, completing their participation in the March training camp.

They sustained injuries during the match against Belgium. Konoplia played on the field for 25 minutes, after which he was substituted by Sych. And at the 62nd minute, Sych himself needed to be substituted.

It is currently unknown how long Konoplia will be away from the national team.

The head coach, Serhiy Rebrov, noted at the post-match press conference that Sych has a serious injury and will be unavailable for a month.

Rebrov also mentioned that no other players will be called up before the return match against Belgium, and they will prepare for the game with those who remain in the team.

It is worth recalling that Artem Dovbik and Valerii Bondar were also unable to participate in the match due to injuries. The former fell ill, and the latter got injured.

The return match in the Nations League playoffs between Belgium and Ukraine will take place on March 23 in Genk. The game will be officiated by referees from Germany.
