Daylight Saving Time Transition. When and Will the Change Happen in Ukraine?.

Ukraine plans to transition to daylight saving Time starting in 2025. This may occur on the night of March 29 to 30 at 03:00, when the clocks will be set forward one hour. However, if the draft law to abolish daylight saving time is adopted, the transition will not take place.
Every year in March, Ukraine usually switches to daylight saving time. But in 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft law to abolish seasonal clock changes and establish standard time (UTC+2).
This draft law has not yet been signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, so the transition to daylight saving time in 2025 will occur according to the usual schedule, on the last Sunday in March.
If no new decisions regarding the abolition of seasonal clock changes are made by the end of March 2025, Ukraine will switch to daylight time on the night of March 29 to 30 at 03:00, moving the hands one hour forward.
Why Clocks are Set Forward
The transition to daylight and standard time helps to use daylight more effectively, optimize working hours, reduce heating expenses, and save electricity for lighting.
Most electronic devices adjust automatically, but mechanical clocks and old mobile phones need to be set manually.
Not only Ukraine but many European countries are transitioning to daylight saving time.
The law to abolish seasonal clock changes will not be signed by the president. However, the deadlines for vetoing the law have already passed.
The reasons for the clock changes have been previously explained, as well as how to avoid health damage when switching to daylight saving time. Additionally, countries that do not change their clocks have been noted.
