Shakhtar's First Victory and Other Results of the Matchday in the Champions League.
In the 4th round of the Champions League, Donetsk 'Shakhtar' defeated the Swiss 'Young Boys'. These matches took place on November 5-6. This is reported by UEFA.
Previously, 'Liverpool' defeated 'Bayer', and Madrid 'Real' with Andriy Lunin lost to 'Milan'.
At their stadium, 'Benfica' lost to 'Bayern', 'Arsenal' with Oleksandr Zinchenko lost to 'Inter', and Madrid 'Atletico' achieved a victory over PSG away.
In the new Champions League format, 36 teams compete in one league, where they meet eight different opponents. The eight teams with the most points will advance to the Round of 16. Clubs from 9th to 24th place play knock-out matches for a place in the Round of 16.
Ukrainian 'Shakhtar' achieved its first victory in the 2024/25 Champions League season, defeating 'Young Boys' with a score of 2:1. After this victory, 'Shakhtar' rose to 26th place in the standings with four points. The next match 'Shakhtar' will play on November 27 against Dutch PSV.
Previously, 'Shakhtar' lost to 'Arsenal' with a score of 1:0, and also lost to 'Atalanta' with a score of 0:3.
