Pension Fund presented a real example of subsidy calculation of 7300 UAH: who is eligible.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has published the details of the mechanism for calculating housing rent subsidies for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
According to the published scheme, the amount of the subsidy is determined as the difference between the maximum allowable rent and the amount of the mandatory payment. The maximum allowable rent is calculated by multiplying the average rent value by the social housing norm and the regional adjustment factor.
A specific calculation example is provided in the document: for a family of 4 (a couple and two minor children) renting housing in Dnipro for 24,000 UAH, the subsidy will amount to 7,329.85 UAH.
In this case, the maximum allowable rent is 12,261.85 UAH, while the mandatory payment is 4,932.0 UAH. The mandatory payment is calculated using a formula based on the average monthly combined income determined over the 2 quarters preceding the month of the subsidy application.
Recall that radical changes have occurred in the rules for providing housing subsidies - they will now be appointed according to a unified approach considering the family's income. The budget for 2025 allocates over 42 billion UAH to cover subsidies and benefits.
It is worth noting that you need to contact the Pension Fund if you are applying for documents for the first Time, if you were previously denied a subsidy due to debts or lack of income, or if you refused the subsidy in the summer but now want to resume it.
As reported, internally displaced persons will be able to receive both housing subsidies and rent subsidies simultaneously. The new support mechanism for IDPs will be implemented starting January 29, 2025, and provides additional financial assistance for families who lost their own housing due to Russian aggression.
It is also worth noting that accruals under the 'National Cashback' and 'Winter eSupport' programs do not affect the calculation of the subsidy and are not included in the total income of the family when determining eligibility for housing subsidies.
