Rescuers pulled the body of a man from under the rubble after a missile strike in Kyiv. During the missile strike on Kyiv, rescuers saved the body of a man who was caught under the ruins of a building. The parents of the deceased waited all day for rescue. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Emergency Service, Svitlana Vodolaha, as noted by 'Hlavkom'.
'The body of a 31-year-old man was taken out from under the rubble, for whose rescue his parents waited all day,' the message says.
After the missile strike on Kyiv, moving images from the city showing a couple in front of the ruins of a high-rise building became a symbol of heavy mourning and hopelessness. These photos spread on social networks and global media, once again reminding of the terrible consequences of the war for the peaceful residents of Ukraine.
On the night of June 17, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv, during which 14 people were killed, and another 60 were injured. Residential buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district and a dormitory of the Kyiv Aviation Institute were damaged. Also, a U.S. citizen was killed as a result of a nighttime drone attack in the Solomianskyi district.
The events that occurred as a result of the missile strike in Kyiv caused a large number of casualties and destructions. It serves as another reminder of the brutality of war and the necessity to end the conflict to prevent further tragedies among the civilian population of Ukraine.
