Defense enterprises received preferential loans totaling over UAH 1.5 billion.

Ukrainian defense enterprises have received over 1.5 billion hryvnias in preferential loans. According to Herman Smetanin, the Minister for Strategic Industries, this includes 29 loans amounting to 1 billion 576 million hryvnias issued since the beginning of the current year. The main applicants are manufacturers of defense equipment and ammunition.

'The amount of funds issued under the accessible loan program has exceeded one and a half billion hryvnias! Already 29 loans have been issued since the beginning of 2025. The total amount of funds is 1 billion 576 million hryvnias. Primarily, defense tech and ammunition manufacturers are applying for loans', - noted the head of the department.

Herman Smetanin also reported that over 80 applications from defense enterprises for preferential loans are at various stages of consideration. Ukrainian defense equipment manufacturers can apply for such loans at various banks, including Ukreximbank, Oschadbank, MTB Bank, and PUMB.

Thus, Ukrainian defense industry enterprises are actively taking advantage of the opportunity to obtain preferential loans for development and support in production.
